Welcome to The Garden Shop! We are a new family-owned plant nursery and garden center located in South City in the former Bayer’s Garden Shop. We understand we have some big shoes to fill on Hampton Ave., but we couldn’t be more ready to help beautify your garden spaces one plant at a time.
We are beyond excited to be in the neighborhood and to offer the neighborhood and community a wide variety of plants, garden supplies, and helpful advice.
Our well-versed staff has years of experience in gardening. Whether you’re looking to start a vegetable garden or spruce up those flower beds, we’re here to help. We look forward to seeing AND meeting you soon!
We’re eager to carry on the tradition of having pumpkins in the Fall and Christmas trees during the holiday season. Our biggest goal is to match the legacy that Bayer’s had in the South City community and to pay homage to the once South City staple.
Our Vision
Our priority is to influence the community and help educate them on the importance of native plant varieties and landscaping methods. We aim to be the number one resource for gardening in the St. Louis community.
Supporting local and small is incredibly important to us as well. In addition to national brands, we will highlight and focus on showcasing local businesses that make this city great.
